Mission

The North Shepparton Community and Learning Centre Inc is committed to the provision of services which strengthen and connect the community these include providing equitable access to Adult and Community Education by providing opportunities to achieve lifelong learning, High quality Child Care, and Recreational/ Social opportunities, which are driven by the needs of the North Shepparton community and surrounding areas.

We are a member of Adult Community Education Victoria and receive funding from the Adult Community and Further Education Board.

We value the rights of the residents to be treated with dignity, respect and understanding, to be offered choice, and given the opportunity to develop to their full potential in an atmosphere and environment designed to meet their individual needs.

We value our staff: they will be encouraged to make their contribution within NSCLC Inc; they will be treated fairly, offered equal opportunity to develop their skills and will be listened to.

We value the environment and the effective use of our resources to promote high standards in all areas of service provision.

Vision

The North Shepparton Community and Learning Centre Inc’s vision is to ensure the ongoing provision of:
  • Adult Education and Training in North Shepparton and the surrounding district that meet expressed and implicit demands, through the delivery of accessible quality education and training programs that comply with the AQTF 2007 – Essential Standards for Registration.

  • A caring, safe, non-discriminatory environment. That people within our community have the right to participate fully in without being subjected to discrimination, stigmatisation or prejudice.

  • Provide high quality Childcare that has continual improvement based on best practice

  • Quality Assurance, which will be maintained through professional development of Committee Members, Administrators and Qualified Tutors and Workplace Trainers and Assessors.

  • NSCLC will strive to be fully responsive to the fluctuating socio-economic climate and training needs of the community.

  • A place for Community strengthening and connectedness.

  • Provide opportunities to Incorporate Multicultural groups through out our community.

  • Ensure that all community groups and individuals are given equal access to NSCLC Inc facilities.
